Productive Time Resource Pack

Working smarter is at the core of the Government's ability to deliver better public services. Productive Time improvements are all about making better use of the time of front line staff. Productive Time initiatives are designed to increase the time spent by public service professionals on core frontline activities, by;

  • doing the right things
  • in the right way
  • with the right people
  • and the right tools and equipment

During 2005-2006, OGC's team collected a range of material that illustrates how different departments, and other public sector organisations, have approached Productive Time and working smarter and some of those examples can be accessed under each of the below segments. The OGC team was Fiona Clark, Imogen Wade and Neil Price and our sincere thanks goes to the many other people who have contributed examples to this site.
