You may not know about our work in support of your sector. We work closely behind the scenes with teams in the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) that lead on three areas of work across the whole education sector.

 

Programme and Project Management

DfES uses a programme and project management structure to deliver against its public service agreement (PSA) targets and strategic priorities. The DfES Programme and Project Management Unit (PPMU) encourages use of OGC GatewayTM reviews as an assurance tool for programmes and projects.

Procurement

The Centre for Procurement Performance (CPP) in DfES works right across the education sector to find the best deals around for schools, higher education, further education, and children, young people and families services.

Efficiency Programme

The Efficiency Programme Team in DfES leads on delivery of education sector efficiency-related commitments. We run the overall cross-government Efficiency Programme to which those contribute.
