The third National Sustainable Procurement Conference 2006 - Sustainability through Smarter Procurement - will be presented by OGC, OGCbuying.solutions and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), on Wednesday, 1 November 2006, at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London.
This event will offer an outstanding opportunity for all delegates, whatever your role within public procurement, to be involved in a stimulating debate and gain expertise from people at the forefront of the UK's sustainable procurement agenda.

We have the opportunity now to use the Government's substantial expenditure as a lever to act on such issues, within value for money policy and EU procurement rules, and can benefit from real savings through sustainable procurement. With this in mind, this conference will provide a platform for thought provoking discussion on sustainability through smarter procurement, with eminent procurement experts from the public and private sector leading the debate.
