Procurement Solutions 2008 - Earls Court One: 10 - 11 June 2008

Released on 11/04/2008

Procurement Solutions 2008 (PS08) is the UK's official and largest free event for the public sector procurement community packed with over 250 exhibitors, an exciting conference programme and 5,000 public sector visitors.  Over the two day line-up, there will be a broad range of keynote sessions, demonstrations, seminars and a large exhibition area.

The event will focus around two key areas:

  • Improving procurement processes and professionalism
  • Collaborative procurement

There will be a strong theme of sustainability underpinning events as well as a sharp emphasis on providing the tools, training, and the inspiration to deliver improved public services more efficiently.  Workshops, practice sessions, case studies and master classes will all be on hand to help attendees gain these vital skills.

PS08, organised once again by OGCbuying.solutions, is bigger than ever this year and boasts a fantastic speaker line-up.  This year we are delighted to welcome:

  • Sir David Frost OBE:  One of the world's most prominent television personalities, perhaps best known for his high-profile and often seminal interviews.  In addition to hosting and creating television programmes, he is a publisher, lecturer, impresario and chief executive officer to numerous companies.
  • Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson:  One of the world's most admired and successful paralympians.  In her career she he has won a total of 16 Paralympic medals (including 11 gold), held over 30 world records, and won the London Marathon six times.  Her achievements and her media work have boosted the profile of disabled sport across the globe.

This flagship event will be the ideal opportunity to speak to dedicated experts in the new procurement categories established following OGCbuying.solutions' move to emphasise the principles of category management throughout its operations.  Furthermore, by attending PS08, you will learn to:

  • Deliver fully-enabled eProcurement best practice
  • Make further measurable efficiency savings
  • Implement sustainable procurement practices across your organization
  • Ensure that the procurement function contributes effectively to change programmes
  • Introduce new technologies to deliver improved public services
