Transactional Services focuses on improving the efficiency of the delivery of frontline services. These represent the most common interaction that citizens and businesses have with local and national government. The workstream will build on existing programmes across government to modernise service delivery, including:
It is expected that departments will be able to deliver c.£1bn of efficiencies from their transactional services initiatives. Departments will be supported in their delivery by their efficiency Account Managers who will be able draw upon the resources of the Gateway teams and Mission Critical reporting teams in OGC to help support and de-risk these initiatives.
