Recent Progress

This page shows the most recently published relocation data.

The Chancellor's Pre-Budget Report of 24th November 2008 reported that 17,118 posts had been relocated as of 30 June 2008. This figure is a rise from 15,710 as of 31 December 2007.

Since the start of the initiative, the OGC has been working with departments to identify and record the individual relocations that support both these published moves and others which have reached various planning stages. To date, over 1,800  separate relocation events both large and small have been identified. Of these, 1500 have already been delivered. (A relocation event is a named team, with a quantifiable number of posts, moving to a known location by a specific date).

From a central position, the OGC Relocation Programme Team are looking for collaborative opportunities to co-locate similar types of departmental functions and/or property sharing initiatives that provide the best value for money for all parties.
