5. A Quality Reviewer should be someone who has demonstrated a sound knowledge of the subject (e.g. an accredited trainer or consultant).
6. We will be looking to see if your publication 'adds value' to the Trade Mark product. Quality Reviewers should assess whether the publication 'adds value' according to the following criteria:
Bringing together information from a variety of sources, including core material
Commentary, analysis, indexing, tailoring
Covering additional topics related to the core material
Comparing and contrasting with other practices
7. A Quality Review of the publication must be carried out that assesses whether the publication:
Is timely, topical and current
Is suitable for the target audience (in terms of document structure, length, presentation of key messages)
Has content which is aligned with the relevant, current core material and does not conflict with or contradict the core material
Confirmation that the publication does not simply summarise an existing official core title
8. Any Trade Mark licence granted will be:
Specifically related to the current OGC core material it is based on (as identified by the OGC core publication's ISBN number); and
Valid for the lifespan of the version of the OGC core material that your publication is referring to (ISBN / Edition / Impression) and the publisher must commit to remove out-of-date products or update them within a reasonable time. The term of the licence may also be related to the specific edition or number of impressions of your publication.
9. Currently, OGC does not charge for Trade Mark licences. However, this strategy is subject to an annual review and this may change.
