Construction and Facilities Management Efficiency
C&FME is one of three divisions within the OGC Procurement Workstream. Its main task is to support the current initiatives throughout the wider public sector to deliver the agreed portions of the cashable and non-cashable efficiency gain targets which have been allocated to Construction and Facilities Management, and, to do so in a way which cuts waste and not functionality.
For the Construction & Facilities Management sectors C&FME will:
- Understand customers efficiency objectives and contextual constraints
- Help customers develop robust efficiency plans, trajectories and measures
- Develop a toolkit of efficiency services
- Develop productive partnerships with key organisations to generate and support change
- Support, challenge and mentor organisations to consider additional opportunities
- Build a knowledge base of successful experiences and approaches
- Identify market wide opportunities for efficiencies and pursue them
C&FME will engage with:
- The three major complex supply chains - Social Housing, Health and Education, including Budget Holders, Delivery and Purchasing Organisations
- The Construction and FM supply industry including manufacturers
- Intermediary organisations such as Regional Centres of Excellence, Local Government Task Force, Constructing Excellence, etc
- Delivery organisations, both private and public, who can demonstrate efficiency success and knowledge.
- Emerging Local Government networks to reflect their position as the largest collective contributor of Construction and FM efficiency savings
