Leading by example: Sustainable procurement practice for the UK public sector by 2009

 A business-led Sustainable Procurement Task Force is changing public sector procurement practice, so the United Kingdom will be recognised as a leader in sustainable procurement across EU member states by 2009.
This task force has been established by the UK Government Sustainable Development Strategy to help the public sector to further sustainable development through its procurement of buildings, goods and services.
