OGC has produced two draft model contracts for procurement staff in the local authorities and their internal legal advisers, with guidance notes for their usage.
One is on model terms and conditions for goods, the other is for services. Both were written in consultation with representatives from key stakeholders, including the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, IDeA, 4Ps, and NW Regional Centre of Excellence.
The model contracts are designed for low to medium risk general procurement projects, where the values range from £140,000 to £1 million - values exceeding the EU thresholds.
They have been produced by OGC in the drive towards greater efficiency and more consistent, effective procurement methods and standards, because our key priority is to help and support local authorities
Users' feedback during the consultation process is very important to help OGC shape the final versions, so we very much welcome your views on the scope, level of detail and content of these terms and conditions.
Please send your comments, feedback and overall general impression of their usefulness to our Service Desk by May 31, 2006.
