The latest money-saving initiative by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) may cut Government printing costs by £23 million a year.
OGC has invited potential print service suppliers to join a supply contract, via a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) - as required under European procurement law.
OGC has set up the Pan Government Collaborative Print Services Framework Agreement, in collaboration with other government organisations, with the Department for Transport as the contracting authority.
This new framework can be used by all British public sector contracting authorities, their agencies and non-departmental public bodies (NDPB).
The combined spending power of this collaboration will reduce the cost of buying printing and related services across central and local government. The public sector currently spends about £650 million a year on print services.
The Commodities Procurement section our website has full details of the Pan Government Collaborative Print Services Framework Agreement, including the OJEU notice.
Suppliers can express an interest in the framework or register at the OGCbuying.solutions eSourcing Service page.
