The Government Procurement Service (GPS) London Conference 2006, organised by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) at the Congress Centre, near the British Museum, on Wednesday, July 12, was fully attended today by 150 delegates.
Financial Secretary to HM Treasury, John Healey MP, in delivering his keynote speech, pointed out that ministerial discussions at Cabinet level and the work of OGC on a number of policy initiatives, are all seeking to change the senior level mindset and reinforce the essential role of public sector procurers in releasing public sector resources to front line services.
