Catherine Hastings - new Director of Communications for OGC

The Office of Government Commerce has a new Director of Communications, Catherine Hastings.

Ms Hastings comes to OGC with solid experience in high-level communications, from posts across a number of public and private sector organisations. She has served as Head of Corporate Communications Strategy for the BBC, and as Director of Communications for London Business School and the NHS University. 

Most recently she has been responsible for stakeholder management for the Department for Constitutional Affairs' DISC programme, a major procurement of new IT contracts to serve the courts, magistrates' courts and tribunals services.

Ms Hastings, who joined OGC from Monday, September 4, 2006, has overall responsibility for communications, particularly in central and local government, with a team of communications professionals to support her.
