Procurement Policy Development

The OGC Policy Development team represents the UK in domestic, EU and International Procurement Policy  developments, including those related to the EU Directives and the  Government Procurement Agreement (GPA). The team represents the UK on procurement matters to the European Commission, with other EU partners and to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and its members. At the moment, this includes negotiating the revised Remedies Directive and reviewing the Government Procurement Agreement.

The remit of the team of the includes:

  • Consulting public and private sector organsations on impact and implementation of public sector procurement legislation.
  • Representing UK views on procurement to the European Commission.
  • Transposing EU Directives into UK Regulations.
