Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) were set up by Government to promote sustainable economic development in England. They are business led. Their main tasks are to help the English regions improve their relative economic performance and reduce social and economic disparities within and between regions.

Several of the UK's Regional Development Agencies have produced websites specifically to support public sector locations.

North East England

The North East of England has developed a regional approach to public sector relocation with One NorthEast, the Regional Development Agency, taking a coordinating role with its regional partners and offering a single point of contact for information on the whole region. One North East have produced a website specifically tailored to Public Sector relocation.

North East England includes dynamic towns and cities such as Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Darlington and Middlesbrough, as well as many other urban and out-of-town locations, offering government departments and agencies a range of relocation solutions.
