The Government Procurement Service (GPS) is leading this cross-Whitehall initiative to establish a framework that enables the recruitment, retention and reward of procurement professionals leading to effective talent management and succession planning.
This will include guidance and recommendations to government departments to help influence how all government procurement professionals are rewarded in the future. The GPS Council will endorse any such strategy before publication.
Nigel Smith, Chief Executive OGC and Head of GPS, said: "We all appreciate that procurement is a key element in delivering government services, and this survey represents an opportunity for all procurement practitioners to influence how the profession develops over the coming years and to raise the profile of the profession in Government".
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. The survey will be live until 22 August and all responses will be anonymous and confidential. FDS, an independent market research company that abides by the Market Research Society's code of conduct, will only report trends and summaries, ensuring that no survey respondents are individually identifiable.

Many thanks in anticipation of completing the survey!
