Richard Williams, the programme manager for the recently completed OFSTED relocation programme, gave an insight into the change and relocation programme that OFSTED is currently undergoing. He analysed the various stages of the relocation process as well as the key lessons learnt from this experience.

The afternoon began with the case study of HSE' s Merseyside headquarters project, by Martin Thompson, HSE' s project manager for the procurement phase of its Merseyside Headquarters Project.

Daniel Marks presented the guidance ODPM, OGC and HMT have developed to ensure departments take into account the Government' s wider regional policy when making relocation decisions.

Bob Foster from AtisReal, commercial property agents, gave the final presentation focussing on the Location Appraisal Process, including the "Weighted Benefits Table", a useful tool to help to make strategic decisions in line with a department's objectives.
