SOGE Targets

The mandated targets are listed in the table below. They represent an important element of the UK's sustainable development strategy. Estates managers of the government's office estate have an obligation to set a leading example for the wider public and private sectors as well as the public by working to meet these targets .

Reduce carbon emissions from road vehicles used for Government administrative operations by 15% by 2010/11, relative to 2005/2006 levels.

Departments to meet or exceed the aim of having 95% of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI's) in sole ownership or control in target condition by 2010.
