The model PQQ is specifically intended for use in procurements with a financial value beneath applicable EU thresholds.
The suite of documents comprises a core questionnaire and three supplementary modules (addressing Financial situation, Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities in slightly greater depth) that can be included at the purchaser's discretion.
The PQQ asks simple questions to establish suppliers' suitability to tender against the requirement and operates on a 'self-certification' basis, where supporting evidence need not be submitted (although it may be requested at tender stage). Accompanying guidance for completion of the PQQ (for suppliers) and evaluation of submitted PQQs (for purchasers) has also been developed.
Purchasers with construction and related requirements should consider using Constructionline as a tool to source suitable suppliers. Constructionline is the DTI's accreditation scheme and is approved by Government. More detail is available at www.constructionline.co.uk.
